‍Dr. Ryznar is an environmental health expert researching and communicating the impacts of plastic pollution on human and planetary health. She serves as a Professor and Associate Chair of Psychiatry at St. George's University, a part-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and a consulting psychiatrist at Sheppard Pratt. She completed her medical training at Harvard Medical School, her residency training at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, and her postdoctoral training in medical education at Johns Hopkins. She also has a Masters degree in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford. A passionate researcher and educator, Dr. Ryznar received numerous accolades and published a textbook and over 15 peer-reviewed publications.
